Easy LinkedIn Content Scheduling Explained

LinkedIn has now rolled out a scheduling feature for personal profiles AND company pages. If you don’t have it yet, it should be coming very soon. You can tell if you have it by the little clock icon next to the “post” button. Click on the icon to set up a scheduled day and time to post. Learn more below!

You can schedule three months out, but only certain kinds of content can be scheduled. For instance, you can’t schedule a poll. Once you’ve selected your date and time, it will take you back to your original post where you can then finish writing it.

Once your post is written and you’ve verified the date and time is correct, you can hit the “schedule” button and submit it into the schedule. You can view all previously scheduled posts on the previous screen when you select the date and time.

*As of this writing, the scheduling option is not available for company pages yet, but that is hopefully coming next!

But in a recent LinkedIn newsletter, the option to schedule articles is coming soon.

*UPDATE: You can now schedule posts on company pages. It’s done the exact same way as personal profiles.

That’s it! Super easy to schedule posts and a very useful tool to beef up your posting schedule and fill in gaps. Don’t post on weekends? Now you can without actually having to post in real time. Can’t post every day? Schedule out content for the whole week in one evening. The possibilities are endless.
